About this Program
Mangalayatan University Online's UG Diploma in Computer Applications (CA) is a one-year online programme for 12th-pass students who want a foundational IT and computing credential from a UGC-recognised university without the three-year commitment of a full BCA degree. The programme covers computer fundamentals, office productivity software (MS Office Suite), internet technologies, database basics, programming fundamentals (C or Python), and digital literacy — a practical first step into the technology sector delivered entirely online. Recorded lectures, guided assignments, and online module assessments are structured to fit learners studying alongside work or other courses. Eligibility: passed Class 12 from any recognised board. Graduates apply for entry-level IT support, data entry, office automation, and computer operator positions in government offices, schools, and private businesses. The diploma also qualifies students for advanced credit recognition when proceeding to a full BCA or B.Sc. IT programme, making it a low-risk, accessible entry point into a computing career.
