About this Program
SRM University Online's Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is a three-year UGC-approved online undergraduate degree designed for 10+2 graduates who want a career in software development, web technologies, or information systems. The curriculum covers programming fundamentals (C, C++, Java, Python), database management, data structures, software engineering, computer networks, and emerging areas such as cloud computing and mobile application development. Each semester combines self-paced video modules, live mentor sessions, and practical coding assignments assessed through proctored exams. Eligibility requires 10+2 from any recognised board. The programme suits school leavers who cannot relocate, working professionals pivoting to IT, and students in tier-2 and tier-3 cities without access to quality campus-based BCA colleges. Graduates pursue roles as software developer, web developer, database administrator, system analyst, and IT support engineer, and many proceed to MCA or MBA programmes to advance into senior technical or management positions.
